Deliveries
Seniors & Mobility Challenged
We provide a home delivery service for Seniors and Cranbrook residents unable to collect food for themselves due to long-term disability, injury, or illness. Recipients receive limited non-perishables, bread, dairy, meat and and fresh produce.
Emergency Hamper
Need food support between your regular shopping appointment? Our Emergency Hamper Program provides a bag of non-perishable items to help fill the gap until your next visit. Contents vary based on donations, but may include rice, oatmeal, soup, lentils, evaporated milk, and tinned meat. One hamper per household every 14 days.
Street Outreach Pantry
For community members without stable housing, our pantry offers convenient, ready-to-eat foods that don’t require cooking or refrigeration. Each pack includes about two days of nourishing meals, roughly six small portions. We ensure that every meal includes a source of protein.
Community Fridge
Our Community Fridge, located in front of the Cranbrook Food Bank, is open and available to everyone. It is stocked Monday to Friday and offers food that is still perfectly good to eat but may have a few bruises or wrinkles. What else might you find in the fridge?
- Unusual items, or items we have in abundance to share
- Items past their best-before date that are still safe to eat and need to be used quickly
Anyone from the community is welcome to choose items for themselves, no sign-up required.
The fridge is cleaned daily, and food moves quickly, so it’s often empty by the next morning.
First come, first served.
Bread Shed
TONY’S BREAD SHED is open 7 days a week. Bread, sweets, and occasionally other items are available. First come, first served basis.
Seniors Program (65+)
Our program supports clients aged 65 and over with nutritious options to make mealtime easier and more enjoyable. Participants receive meal replacement drinks, deli meats, hearty soups, extra milk and eggs, plus a bi-weekly rotating selection of cheese, yogurt, instant oatmeal, and seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Children's Nutrition Program
Our program supports children with nourishing and kid-friendly options, including cheese, cereal, extra fresh seasonal produce, and non-perishable snack packs to help support our youngest clients.

Community Connections
Community Connections Society of Southeast BC (CCSSEBC), often abbreviated to CCS, is a non-profit charitable organization that provides programs and services to Cranbrook and the East Kootenay Region. Since incorporation in 1982, CCS has provided integrated, accessible social services to individuals and families throughout the East Kootenay Region. To respond to community needs we deliver quality services both directly and through community partnerships. Originally a women’s collective (Cranbrook Women’s Resource Society) formed to provide safe harbor to women fleeing domestic violence: the agency has grown considerably over the years and has taken in new programs in response to emerging local needs.
